Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is a single-window, online counseling process run by Anna University and DoTE Chennai for B.E./B.Tech admissions. It does not involve an entrance exam; instead, it uses Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)to create a merit list. It offers admission to government, aided, and private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Counselling Process

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process is entirely online and includes the following steps:

Registration
Visit the official website tneaonline.org and provide details like name, email, date of birth, and gender. After entering the OTP sent to your phone, you'll receive a user ID and password.

Application
Log in with your user ID and password to fill out the online application form. This includes personal details, academic information, and scholarship and reservation information.

Payment
Pay the application fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Printout
Take a printout of the application form and keep it safe until the admission process is complete.

Random Number
After registering, you'll receive a random number via SMS. You can also view your random number on your login page.

Certificate Verification
TFC (TNEA Facilitation Center) will verify your certificates online.

Rank List
The rank list will be published based on your 12th cutoff score.

Counseling
You can participate in online counseling, where you'll fill in your choices, receive a seat allotment, and confirm your seat. You'll need to report to the allotted college.

Eligibility Criteria

Tamil Nadu Residency Policy

Mandatory for Government Quota seats.

You must have completed your 8th through 12th grades in Tamil Nadu to be eligible for state quota admissions.

Qualifying Exam

Must have passed or be appearing for the 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent exam.

Mandatory Subjects
